Entering my fourth year as principal of Bay Lane Middle School, I am more excited than ever to be a part of your child's life. Prior to being at Bay Lane, I acted as an administrator for three years in the Greenfield School District as the Associate Principal at Greenfield Middle School. My background consists of 14 years as a middle level educator in the Black River Falls School District, Independent School District 300, and La Crosse School District. I also facilitated learning for eight years at graduate and undergraduate levels for University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
I grew up in La Crosse but have considered Muskego my home since late 2005 when my family moved across state to begin a career in educational administration. I earned a Masters of Science degree in Reading as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary/Middle Level Education from UW-La Crosse and an administrative certificate from Viterbo University.
As administrative/instructional leader I seek to facilitate learning in community by creating a culture of trust where members use our established values as operating norms. In this culture, learners work together utilizing their individual strengths to create the community's vision. I believe the way to reach the 21st Century learner is by understanding their perceptions of this world, studying their preferred learning styles, and implementing meaningful and memorable learning tasks with them.
I look forward to seeing every student learning, growing...succeeding.
