What is T.E.A.M?

Every student struggles from time to time. Some children face significant ongoing challenges socially, physically, emotionally and/or academically. T.E.A.M. is a group of parents and staff working together to educate families in the Muskego-Norway School District. We can help you locate and access necessary help for students who may be struggling. Our school district provides many resources which are available to students to help ensure their academic success.

T.E.A.M. - PARENT GROUP MEETINGS

Place:  Muskego Public Library

When:  Third Tuesday Each Month

Time:    6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

 What is Parent Advisory Council?

Parent Advisory Council is one way parents give feedback to educators and administrators on how the special education process is working in their schools. The PAC provides opportunities for parents, educators, and even the community to collaborate toward mutual goals that benefit all children. Our PAC meets regularly with Kathy Brooks, Director of Special Education and Pupil Services, planning activities that will provide information and fun, for special children and their families. The PAC is one way to encourage and support building relationships, proactive problem-solving, and facilitate communication.

SPECIAL EDUCATION RIGHTS FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Federal law concerning the education of students with disabilities, requires schools to provide parents of a child with a disability with a notice containing a full explanation of the procedural safeguards available under the IDEA and the U.S. Department of Education regulations.  A copy of this notice must be given to parents one time per school year.

This information, the Special Education Rights for Parents and Children, is now available on the DPI website at the following URL address:

http://dpi.state.wi.us/sped/pdf/proc-safegds.pdf

If you are unable to view or download a copy of these Parents Rights, or would like a printed copy, please feel free to contact:

Pupil Services Dept: 262-679-5400 x2118 or x2224
